Eating Out In Delhi

I finally landed in Delhi a couple of weeks back and checked into a cheap Lodge as I have to keep the expenses down until I start making some money. Of course I cannot help spending on the food as I have fallen in love with Indian food out here. Indian food in my opinion 'Has to be eaten in India'. Any kind of Indian food available in Europe or I’m guessing in other parts of the world cannot do justice to what an Indian dish is supposed to taste like.
Searching for a good restaurant to dine in can turn out to be a nightmare at times, especially in a busy metro like Delhi. This city has everything to suit your taste buds, from North Indian to South Indian, from Continental to Mexican. It doesn’t matter what your preference is, I’m sure you will find something to suit your needs.
Apart from the locally owned and run restaurants, you will also find International Chains such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Pizza Express, Wimpy and TGIF. I don’t care much for these International chains and so I set out to find the best local restaurants in Delhi.
I decided to surf the Internet to look for places to eat and I found some great resources such as Burrp! I never imagined that I would ever find such a site which has so many listings of everything! I ended up reading the customer reviews of all the good places and I really enjoyed eating in the past few days. I think I even managed to put on some weight, I guess will have to get those running shoes out of the bag (sigh).
Over the course of the next few weeks which I will be staying in Delhi, I will be writing some more about my experiences with Delhi restaurants, and will also try and list a few personal favorites.
